Stuck in the Middle

A Mid-Morning Encounter

The first day of spring and the temperature was already at 80° F at 11 in the morning. Chiara pushed a lock of mahogany hair from her warm brown eyes and looked up from her fashion magazine across the freshly cut lawn to the obtrusive Chemistry Library where she should have been studying for her physical chemistry mid-term exam, which was two days away on Friday.
